Nearing the end.....

It wasn't long ago that I had a sinking feeling, thinking that little I was working on here in Malawi was likely making a difference. Now, only a short month before end of service, I understand that my persistence has been worth it, that small progress is being made. Our evaluation project, intended to be completed in four months, had been strung out to eight months, yet still not completed. We extended the deadline once again, this time only for a week. We prepared a draft narrative and met with the committee to present the provisional report. They sat quietly, maybe even pensively, making no comments as we presented tables, graphs, observations and recommendations. When we finished the slide presentation, they eagerly offered feedback before asking, "So, what is the way forward? The team has done good work.....how can we take this one more step so that it makes a difference?"

  2. Several folks here at Sierra Vista Hospital in T or C ask of you and your work. I was pleased to find you via GOOGLE and to hear of the progress.
